What to do in case of breakdown or damage

Safety tips

    • If there are injuries, provide first aid or call 112.
    • Get yourself and the other party to safety.
    • Stay calm and friendly.
    • If possible, drive to the nearest safe place.
    • If not, put up your warning triangle and turn on the flashing lights. Call so that the vehicle can be towed.
    • Note that in some countries, the involved vehicles may not be moved until the police has arrived.
    • In a safe place, if possible in the car, you can then take care of your claim by filling out the European Accident Statement or using the collision form in the car or via the free app at MobielSchadeMelden.nl (only in Dutch)

Form can be filled out digitally.
What you fill in on the first form will automatically be filled in on the second form, so that both parties get exactly the same. You complete the declaration separately.
